On August 15, 2015 twenty young volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints caught trains at 5:30 a.m. The early travel allowed them to provide support and service for the 8th Swami Satyananda Memorial Lecture hosted by The Pure Life Society and INSaF (Interfaith Spiritual Fellowship) of Malaysia that day.

The event organizing committee, Chaired by Dr. Siby, began working on this event in January and arranged for Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Kurup, Minister of Unity in the Prime Minister's Department to present the Key Note address on the theme: Moderation - The Key to Peace and Harmony.
Nearly 300 guests from many races, religions, and cultures assembled to listen to Minister Kurup's remarks. They also enjoyed remarks from Andrew Khoo, Chancellor of the Dioceses of West Malaysia; Datin Halimah Said, President of the Association of Voices of Peace; Swami Guru Sri Kriyathasa Sekar, Founder of 7 Chakram Life Organization; Dr M.M. Sreenivasan from the Baha'i Community; and Sister Loh Pai Ling, President of the Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia.
Guests joined Mother Mangalam, Life President of The Pure Life Society in a morning prayer. They were welcomed to the event by the Chairman of INSaF, Dr. Amir Farid Isahak. The moderator for the day was Dato Saifuddin Abdullah, CEO Global Movement of Moderates Foundation. There were also many honored guests such as the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Julien Leow Beng Kim; Chief Buddhist Monk, Ven Datuk Dhammaratana; and Sardar Harcharan Singh of the Sikh Community.
Many guests commented that a highlight of the conference was observing well dressed, powerful young men and women as they served as ushers, guest relations, refreshment hosts and hostess', registration staff, technical support and even parking attendants. Mother Mangalam stated "We thank ...the enthusiastic men and women from the Mormon Church, for having made a success of the Swami Satyananda Memorial Lecture 2015. The team spirit and dedication displayed was most commendable. Indeed these youth live the Society's axiom, 'Unity in Diversity'."
