LDS Charities in Malaysia honored by Rotary Club District Governor

Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Club was the venue for the June 26 Rotary Club District 3300 annual Awards Night. 2014-2015 District Governor Kirenjit Kaur presented the District Governor's Citation to LDS Charities, the Humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for their role in donating wheelchairs to Rotary Club. LDS Charities also provided a 3 day assessors training to insure all wheelchairs placed by the Rotary Club were fit specifically to the individual in need.

Since 2008 LDS Charities has donated more than 3,500 wheelchairs to people in need throughout Malaysia. These chairs are given without cost to individuals who are unable to obtain a chair from their own resources.

Rotary Clubs from District 3300 in Malaysia have been active partners with LDS Charities since January of 2015.
