Spanning 22 countries and territories, the Asia Area is home to over 190,000 members. The 2026 Asia Area Report features the groundbreaking of the Singapore Temple, one of five temples being built for the Area, and profiles global ministry visits by Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson, and Primary General President Susan H. Porter.
Other news highlights include the internationally renowned Brigham Young University Ballroom Dance Company’s performance for the King and Queen of Thailand and their first tours to Cambodia and Viet Nam. The Church breaks ground on its largest humanitarian donation in Cambodia – the Siem Reap Heart Center. The Light the World Giving Machine lands in Southeast Asia, and the first Asia Area Education Fair is held.
This first report also spotlights local Church initiatives that have gained ground such as an annual community awards ceremony in Taiwan in its eighth edition, a Singapore interfaith service collaboration in its sixth year, and a multiracial Nativity pageant in Malaysia.
The Report will be available by early April on Church YouTube language channels in Indonesian, Khmer, Malay, Mandarin, Thai, and Vietnamese.
